Workspaces
Reflecto organizes your entries into six specialized workspaces, each designed for a different kind of reflection. Every workspace filters and displays entries of its type, giving you a focused view of your thoughts.
All workspaces share the same rich text editor, tags, people mentions, images, starring, and auto-save. The difference is in the metadata fields and how entries are displayed.

Journal entries are the sixth type and are covered in the Writing & Editor section, since they integrate deeply with the calendar and mood tracking systems.
Creating Entries
There are two ways to create a new entry in any workspace.
From the Write Page
- Navigate to
/writeor pressCtrl/Cmd + W - Click the entry type dropdown (defaults to Journal)
- Select the workspace type you want (Dream, Highlight, Idea, Wisdom, or Note)
- The metadata fields update to match the selected type
- Write your entry and it auto-saves
From a Workspace Page
- Navigate to any workspace page (e.g.,
/highlights) - Click the New button
- You are taken to the Write page with the type pre-selected
You can also navigate directly with URL parameters:
/write?type=highlight
/write?type=dream
/write?type=idea
/write?type=wisdom
/write?type=noteShared Features
Every entry type has access to the same core capabilities:
Rich Text Editor
The TipTap-powered editor with markdown shortcuts, formatting toolbar, headings, lists, blockquotes, code blocks, and links. See the Rich Editor guide for details.
Tags and People
Use #tags and @mentions in any entry type to categorize content and track relationships. Tags and people are extracted automatically on save.
Images
Drag and drop, paste, or use the toolbar to upload images. All images are stored on ImageKit CDN with automatic thumbnails.
Starring
Click the star icon to mark any entry as important for easy retrieval later.
Auto-Save
All entries auto-save after a brief debounce. The cloud sync indicator in the header shows save status in real time.
Bulleted Mode
Toggle bulleted mode in any workspace for structured, list-style entries. A bullet count appears in the header.
Workspace Pages
Each workspace page displays a filtered list of entries for that type:
- Entries are sorted by date (newest first)
- Type-specific metadata is shown on each entry card
- Click any entry to open it in the editor
- Use the New button to create a fresh entry of that type
Choosing the Right Workspace
| You want to… | Use |
|---|---|
| Record a special memory or achievement | Highlights |
| Write down a long-term goal or aspiration | Dreams |
| Capture a creative concept and develop it | Ideas |
| Save a quote, lesson, or piece of knowledge | Wisdom |
| Jot down a quick reminder or thought | Notes |
| Write a daily reflection or log | Journal |
There is no wrong choice. If an entry feels like it belongs in multiple workspaces, pick the one that best matches your intent. You can always change the entry type later from the Write page.
